The Cross Rigid Conveyor Belt is designed for applications that require sharp flips with heavy studs and/or corrugated sidewalls. It is rigid in the belt (rigid or weft) but remains flexible over the length (warp direction) of the belt to wrap the pulley. It adds a monofilament cross member to the standard belt fabric to increase the rigidity of the cross belt. The increased stiffness prevents the belt from bending or sagging during operational tension caused by changes in the horizontal/vertical direction and when supported from the edge of the belt on the return stroke. The cross-rigid strap resists the lateral bending that typically occurs with conventional conveyor belts while maintaining flexibility, allowing normal motion around the standard pulley diameter.
